What is Screenburn?

Screenburn is a platform that lets you sell video content to your fans all within your Facebook page. It could be a film, concert footage, stand-up comedy, television, or anything else you think your fans would pay for. If you made it, and it’s the type of content you wouldnt mind showing your Mum, then you can sell it. If you’re a film maker we realise getting cinema distribution can be difficult and expensive, and in this day and age why should you? You can distribute to the WORLD on your Facebook page. Or maybe if you’ve got loads of Facebook fans and you want to monetize that audience, we can help you with that too.

Do I control my Facebook app?

We are not a content aggregator, we don’t buy your content we just provide you with the tools to sell it to your fans. You control the branding of your Facebook app, there isn’t Screenburn branding everywhere, just a tiny little logo at the bottom. You can change images, text and selling price any time of day without contacting us. All the promotion and marketing for your content is up to you because after all, you know your audience best. We’ll concentrate on making a really good Facebook app and you concentrate on selling the content to your fans. Deal?

How much does it cost?

There is no set-up fee to use the service, so you can get started risk free. We just charge 30% a transaction fee for all sales made through the platform. When the viewer is in the UK or EU, we also have to pay 20% sales tax. We handle all payment fees, hosting and streaming and forward money on to you on a monthly basis. You can log in any time and see how much you’ve earned.

How can Screenburn help me grow my audience?

Every time one of your fans likes, shares or comments on your content it will automatically be broadcast in their activity feed. We trust our friends’ opinions (don’t we?) and if our friend recommends something we’re more likely to watch it too. So your indepedent film can grow and grow and grow and before you know it the WHOLE WORLD may have seen your film! EXCITING!

Yep. Both of those, as well as PC. Screenburn is compatible with a wide range of devices so your fans can enjoy your content anywhere with an internet connection.

What do I need to get started?

The video (in MP4 format), a header image and some nice words about your film. That’s it, we’ll handle the rest. All Screenburn apps are based around a template and you can log in and change any of these things any time you like! If you don’t have an MP4 file for your film we can convert from other digital formats, DigiBeta, HD-CAM or DVD/Blu-Ray at a small additional cost. Please note you must have at least 1000 Facebook fans before you can start selling your film.

What about reporting?

If you don’t like numbers someone else at your company will. But we’re all interested in one number, and that’s how much money we’ve made. We therefore display views, revenue and other basic data within the admin area. We then support Google Analytics for more advanced reporting (to keep your numbers guy happy).

How do fans pay for content?

PayPal or credit card, they don’t even need a PayPal account to pay although lots of people do, and it’s easy for them to log in and pay in seconds.
